Jeramiah Lujan
Bible Teacher, Apologist
Jeramiah founded First Century Church in obedience to God's call to boldly teach others the truth of God's uncompromising word so that they know their identity in Christ; have a real authentic relationship with Jesus; help identify, develop and use their gifts and talents to fulfil their God-given purpose; and disciple others to do the same.
He has a vision to cultivate a community of authentic Christ followers that love well and who desire to live by the Scriptures, depend on the Holy Spirit for Kingdom living, worship in Spirit and in Truth with passion and actively pursue joining what God is doing in our families and community to glorify God and fulfill His commission.
Jerry first heard God's call on his life in Fresno, California in 1984 when at 7 years of age chose to be baptised and born again. He joined the military at 17, got an Engineering degree at Dominion University, and retired in 2016 after 22 years of service as a Marine Corps Officer.
Jerry has volunteered in churches across America and posts overseas for the Worship Team, Kid's Church, and Creative Arts Ministry, and has attended bible courses, classes and lead Small Groups during his military career.
While working as a consultant in the Austin area, in October 2017, Jerry heard God's call again to move into Ministry. He studied at Abilene Christian University (working towards a M.Div) and RZIM Academy (Apologetics).
Jerry is now blessed to work full-time from home, which enables him to run the family homestead, spend time with his wife and three daughters, and lead an in-person and online Bible Study every Sunday - following the Deuteronomy 6:5-9 commands and original church model during the first century.
